If you’re staying in Playas del Coco, the beach club scene is more laid back and social than ultra-luxury. Most spots focus on beachfront dining, pools, cocktails, sunsets, live music, and relaxed day lounging rather than huge party clubs.
01
Pacífico Beach Club
This is probably the most upscale beach club experience directly in Coco. It has a resort-style feel with a large beachfront pool, loungers, food and drink service, and a quieter atmosphere compared to downtown Coco bars.
What it offers:
* Beachfront infinity-style pool * Lounge chairs and shaded seating * Restaurant and cocktail service * Sunset dining * Family-friendly atmosphere * Relaxed luxury vibe * Popular with expats, snowbirds, and vacation homeowners
It’s a good option for people wanting a cleaner, calmer beach day experience.
02
Café de Playa beach front restaurant and suites
One of the trendier beachfront hangouts in Coco. During the day it’s relaxed and beachy, while evenings can become more social with cocktails, music, and events.
What it offers:
* Direct beachfront location * Poolside seating * Craft cocktails * Upscale casual dining * Weekend entertainment * Sunset atmosphere * Connected catamaran and ocean experiences
The crowd is usually tourists, expats, and people looking for more of a stylish beach lounge atmosphere.
03
Coco Vibe Beach Bar
More casual and social than luxury. This is one of the easier beachfront spots to grab drinks, watch the sunset, and hang out right on the sand.
What it offers:
* Beachfront drinks * Casual food * Relaxed social vibe * Sunset cocktails * Occasional live music * Walkable from downtown Coco
This is better for a fun casual beach afternoon rather than a full resort-style beach club day.
A beautiful house only works if the town fits your life.
Find the town that fits how you want to live, buy, or invest.
04
Ocotal Beach Club
Located just outside Coco in Playa Ocotal, this is quieter and more scenic. Ocotal is known for calmer water, snorkeling, and a more residential feel.
What it offers:
* Oceanfront pool * Smaller quieter atmosphere * Ocean-view dining * Snorkeling nearby * Great sunsets * More peaceful setting than Coco
A lot of people prefer Ocotal when they want a quieter beach day away from the downtown Coco energy.
05
The Club at Coco Bay
This is more of a resident social and fitness club than a tourist beach club, but it’s popular with expats and long-term residents.
What it offers:
* Large pool * Gym * Pickleball and tennis * Restaurant and social areas * Family atmosphere * Active expat community
It attracts retirees, snowbirds, and people living full or part time in the area.
06
Overall:
* Coco beach clubs are more relaxed and social than flashy * Most focus heavily on sunset views and casual dining * Ocotal is quieter and more peaceful * The scene is very mixed between tourists, expats, retirees, and families rather than a pure party crowd
